CHICKEN MANCHURIAN [RECIPE BY TRAVELLERCOOK]

Chicken Manchurian is a saucy crispy and tasty snack to have when you are craving for chicken. also, it's easy to cook. Just make sure you have all the ingredients with you. (If not then I guess it's shopping time)


INGREDIENTS

(NOTE: Below mentioned ingredients are enough for serving for 2)
  • 350gm chicken breast (Boneless)
  • Ginger & Garlic paste
  • Salt
  • White pepper (Optional)
  • 1 Egg (Whole)
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 1-2 Onion(s)
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2-3 Green Chilies
  • Cornstarch
  • Oil
  • Oyster/Soya sauce
  • Tomato ketchup
  • Black pepper
  • Coriander leaves (Optional)

Once you have all these ingredients you're ready to get started.

DIRECTIONS

  • First step is the easiest one. Take the 350gm Boneless Chicken Breast and wash it properly, cut it into cubes and place it in a bowl.
  • Now, put 1 tbsp. Ginger & Garlic paste, 1 whole Egg, 1/2 tbsp. White Pepper (optional) and Salt (according to taste). Mix well.
  • Now, leave this marination for at least 45 minutes in room temperature. 
  • It's time for the cutting work. Take 1 Capsicum, 1-2 Onions, 1 Red Bell Pepper and cut them diced. Now, finely chop 1inch Ginger, 3 cloves Garlic and 2-3 Green Chilies.
  • After resting the chicken for 45 minutes. Put 1 heaped tbsp. Cornstarch and a tbsp. oil in it. Mix well.
  • Leave for 10 minutes and then fry all the pieces of chicken on a medium flame until golden brown.
  • Take them out and let them rest for 10 minutes in room temperature.
  • Meanwhile take half cup of water and mix cornstarch in it until it makes a slurry texture.
  • Now, heat a pan with 1 tbsp. Oil (on high flame). Add Chopped Ginger, Garlic and green chilies. Now, time for the veggies. Add the diced Capsicum, Red Bell Pepper and Onions.
  • Fry them a bit. Add 1 tbsp. Oyster/soya sauce, 4 tbsp. of tomato ketchup and 1 tbsp. Black Pepper. Mix well.
  • Now, add the water-cornstarch slurry and give it a mix. 
  • Add the fried chicken pieces and mix well.
  • Bring it to a boil and remove from the flame.
That's all! Serve the crispy and tasty Chicken Manchurian on the table.
